What are the advantages of apriline® Fillers?
Easy volume control, gradual treatment rhythm, long-lasting (but not permanent) results, reversibility.
What are the contraindications?
apriline® Fillers must not be used in:
• patients who tend to develop hypertrophic scars, have pigment disorders or have susceptibility to keloid formation;
• patients with a history of autoimmune disease or who are receiving immune therapy;
• patients who are known to be hypersensitive to hyaluronic acid, lidocaine hydrochloride or to amide-type local anaesthetics;
• Patients who have previously received permanent fillers in the area to be treated;
• Pregnant or breastfeeding women;
• Patients under 18 years of age;
Patients on anticoagulants or patients receiving platelet aggregation inhibitors (e.g. acetylsalicylic acid) should not be treated with the device without consulting their doctors. The device must not be used in areas presenting cutaneous, inflammatory and/or infectious processes (e.g. acne, herpes). The device must not be used in association with laser therapy, chemical peeling, dermabrasion or mesotherapy.
What are the side effects?
The following events and reactions have been observed with the device or similar products: abscess, angioedema, bacterial infections, beading/lumpiness, bleeding, bruising, burning, discoloration, discomfort, edema, erythema, firmness, granulomas, hematoma, herpes reactivation, hypersensitivity, implant-site mass, implant visibility, induration, inflammation, irritation, itching, livedoid pattern after accidental arterial embolization, malar edema, mass formation, migration, necrosis due to vascular compromise, nodules (inflammatory and non inflammatory), numbness, pain, paresthesia, puncture marks, redness, retinal artery occlusion, scar sarcoidosis, scleromyxedema (generalized), swelling, teleangiectasia, tenderness, vasculitis, vasospasm, vasovagal reaction during injection, vision loss due to retinal artery occlusion.
What to avoid after the treatment?
For 24 hours after the treatment avoid:
• Strenuous cardio activities, including running;
• Sun or heat exposure, including sauna and hot yoga;
• Alcoholic beverages;
• Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and aspirin.
How long does the effect last?
The duration of the effect depends on the type of the filler and the purpose of the procedure: for apriline® FORTE the effect lasts for 8 to 12 months, for apriline® NORMAL the effect lasts for 6 to 10 months, and for apriline® HYDRO the effect lasts for 3 to 6 months.
